They'll be fine together. As far as the temperature goes-they'll find what is comfortable for themselves. Shovel in some manure for them to eat and you'll be surprised at the amount you'll end up with.

Shredded cardboard will work great worked in with some compost.

You probably should just have night crawlers to start. Then can start adding and watch to make sure there is no conflict. Make sure the compost has cooled too. Linda
