    Thank you l didn’t realize that grass clippings were not healthy for citrs trees, so l am going to move that away today, l do use seasol, but l buy it, local council here wont let us take the seaweed, bugger, but yes trace elements l will look into this and l just started a worm farm. thankyou for your comment.

    I’m only just discovering trace elements & I gather that lemon trees will benefit from the following:
    1. potash (you can buy or use from a wood fire)
    2. blood & bone (or worm castings or whatever)
    3. seasol – you can make this yourself.
    4. no grass
    I feel like a complete dork down at the beach picking up seaweed – last time I simply put it in the worm farm- cheap way to get your trace elements for our old soils here.
    Get your son to wee on the ground around it -every once in a while.

    G’day Michael, thanks for your encouragement, l have put alot of work into my soil, everywhere l dig, worms, worms, worms, l think using ash from my fireplace helps and snails don’t like it much either…:)
