How can I stop my worm compost bin from leaking?

I started composting with worms and I keep the bin in my kitchen. The plastic bin I bought at Target has two tiny holes in the bottom that I didn't notice when I purchased it. I have tried taping over holes in a previous bin I was using and duct tape didn't work. The stuff leaked right through the duct tape. Is there such a thing as water proof tape that i could tape over these holes so that the stinky liquid doesn't leak out? Any other suggestions?

try caulking it.

Have the heap outside, use a plastic liner. That way, it is outside, you can hose away the crap if need be…and it isn't inside.

    That is my suggestion though.

Just put a storage container under it, to catch that stinky goodness that gardens love, or move it elsewhere. A garage or outside, but here in Zone 5, it was 22 degrees this morning, so your wormies would be wormy sicles.

You can use a plastic liner. The weight of the plastic depends on the size of the holes. The larger the hole the heavier the weight of the liner must be.

Buy a well made polypropylene bin from Flambeau. Target goods are all made in China by children, slaves, and political prisoners of the Chinese Communist Party!

it is not something for inside put it on a balcony or outside in the garden it is supposed to leak because it must stay moist but must be well drained
what leaks out must be collected in a bucket or drum via a gutter usually and this is the richest liquid compost the worms produce use it in a spray half mixed with water to spray the soil around your pot plants

+if you seal it and stop it from leaking the worms will die
and you will get a fly infestation.
