    The stand is not …
The stand is not what it’s all cracked up to be.
I just screwed 2 —1×4’s to make an “x” then added support boards to make it strong.. I don’t think I even measured any of it………….

..Just do the best you can ….Its only a compost tubler….use your imagination…It will work!!!…………..thanks.

do you have a video …

    I know…………. …
I know……………..that’s the only problem with getting others people grass clippings. You never know.
    Thanks for the comment.

    Nice job. You make …
Nice job. You make it look so simple and cheap.

It’s getting increasingly harder for me to pass up “blackgold supplies” I see setting on the roadside by people’s trash; most recenlty 4 large clear bags of leaves…. headed grocery shopping and didn’t have the trunk room for it. If you do get grass clippings from neighbors, make sure they’re not covered in chemicals you wouldn’t want to compost and feed to your organic garden.

    Thanks for posting.

    how long does it …
how long does it take to compost that way?

  10. 565Customz says:

    @london1817 …
@london1817 honestly..i probably wouldnt do it taht way again, cuz you eventually loose all the dirt if you turn it enough. what i want to do next time, is drill 1/4 inch holes in one end of the barrel, that way when you are compostign you can till it one way slightly and the compost wont come out, then when you need compost you can tilt it the other way and the proper sized compost will come out of the holes you drilled…the trick is to keep enough compost in to keep the process going

  11. london1817 says:

    Thats a good idea …
Thats a good idea cause its a problem
    for mine……..I will try that….Thanks.

  12. 565Customz says:

    i put a screen mesh …
i put a screen mesh in one side of mine, so when the dirt get fine enough to make it through the mesh, you can harvest it….no need to dig into the barrel…ever.

  13. london1817 says:

    Its nothing …
    Its nothing complicated!!
I just made an “x” for both sides.
Then just kinda put the bottoms on 2×4’s.
the rest are braces for the weight.
If I can do it……you can do it……Rick.

  14. lesandnate says:

“All I need to do …
“All I need to do is run faster than you.” ROFLMAO
Know about ‘Bear Grenades’? Friend worked on power lines, Alaska. Men carried cans of sardines. Bear comes too close pop the can and throw it like a frisbee over bear’s head & the bear would go right to it. Gives you enough time to get in a car or? If you ever have to kill one? 12ga mag SLUG in the shoulder shatters the bones and takes out the heart. Drops like a rock. Don’t aim for the head just them off and your dead.

  19. hernanx3 says:

    Book: …
Book: soilandhealthdotorg/indexdothtml cl Agriculture Library then cl Take me to the library scroll down to: Fukuoka, M. The Natural Way of Farming: The Theory and Practice of Green Philosophy. cl on it and voila you have it. Free cause it is out of print. His “The One Straw Revolution” is back in print as of the anniversary of his death. Enjoy!

    oops my bad didn’t …
oops my bad didn’t see the supports at the bottom. But, a tractor composter like the chicken coup. Hooah! lol Put a door in the end put a screen inside and add a crank. take it down a row spin it, go a little further spin it. Might have to tilt it up a bit. :) Now you are really SPREADING IT! LOL Hmmm ideas are endless. Told you about a free book but the GooPolice didn’t post it.

  21. hernanx3 says:

    dig a trench under …
dig a trench under the one you got for now or better yet add extend the legs?

  22. london1817 says:

That is a very good …
That is a very good idea!
I will use that on my next one i build.
This one has a problem…The compost is hard to get out….I think I need to make it higher for a wheel barrel to go under to get it ….like dump it in. What do you think?

  23. hernanx3 says:

    A couple 2×4’s …
A couple 2×4’s screwed to the insided will help to tumble the compost instead of it sliding if need be….
