Amending the garden beds… ..rock dust, compost, worms!!
Amending the beds for a new crop! We’re using rock dust, compost, and tons of WORMS!! We’re using Azomite, as a rock dust, it’s full of ancient sea life and a very powdery, fine dust!
You can find it locally or online, from places like groworganic.com
You can also create your own rock dust from crushing rocks, or source it at local rock yard. The more diversity the better…

Thanks again for the feedback. Dont mean to overwhelm you with questions. Trace elements are important and rock dust works, so it would be neat if we found a way to make it.

Hi codyayres….the rock dust…adds back to the soil…depleted trace minerals….that the previous crop used up. Unlike NPK fertilizer…the rock dust adds back not only three of known trace minerals…but many more!! It’s also food for the microorganisms and worms in the soil…
Check out the book, “SECRETS OF THE SOIL, by Tompkins and Bird, particulary the chapters 15, 16, and 17… titled, “Dust For Life”, “Life and Death in the Forest”, and “Savory Soil”…great stuff!
what does the rock …
what does the rock dust do for the soil?
I have been testing, reading, and making all different types of soil for so many different condtions even for too much salt in the soil and it is the BEST in the WORLD hands down. It’s called EXCELERITE. I have seen things that if I was to tell you you would simply not beleive me so to to their website http://www.usnnm.com or type on you tube EXCELERITE and see some of the video with the farmers. Scentist have been looking all over the world for something close and to this day still have not turned up with any thing. close to 100 minerals and elements, naturally chelated, Has Humic and Fulvic Acid, Balanced pH (very important) ionic, colliadal and I am sure Im missing some others. I am even taking there pills and again amazing results. they do not even have to chruch their material. Oh yeah, If you are composting or if you put some on manure within 3 weeks no smell and turns it into a rich nutrient soil. 1 ton covers 4 to 5 acres and you use it every other year. and sells for about 300 to 400 per ton
